Satyanarayan Katha With Puja And Havan In Chitrakoot

The word "Saty" means Truth and "Narayan" is a name of Lord Vishnu protectoer of the universe. Satyanarayan Katha with Puja and Havan is a traditional religons  ritual performed to seek blessings of Lord Satyanarayan, an incarnation of Lord Vishnu.  It is believed that satyanarayan katha was founded in skand puran. It is beleived that the doing satyanarayan Katha a person gets the same result as performing a thousand yagyas. This ritual is supposed to be an easy solution to the problems of human beings. 

First, Sankalp is taken in the name of the devotee. Then Lord Satyanarayana is invoked by the priest with chanting and prayers. This puja is the story of Satyanarayana, which must be heard by all the devotees participating in this puja. Finally, Aarti and Havan are performed by the priest and prasad is distributed to the devotees. Blessings of Lord Satyanarayana are sought by the devotees.
