Satya Vinayak Puja is a holy ritual dedicated to Lord Ganesha, the remover of obstacles and symbol of truth and wisdom. Devotees perform this puja to seek blessings for honesty, success, and peace. Offerings like durva grass, modaks, and diyas are made while chanting Ganesha mantras and reciting the Satya Vinayak Katha. Performed at home or in temples, this puja promotes truthfulness, removes hindrances, and brings prosperity and spiritual fulfillment.
Satya Vinayak Puja begins with placing Lord Ganesha’s idol on a red or yellow cloth and taking a vow (sankalp). The idol is bathed with panchamrit and water, then decorated with sandalwood, kumkum, turmeric, flowers, and durva. Devotees offer modak, coconut, bananas, and sweets, light a lamp and incense, and chant mantras, Satya Vinayak Katha, and Ganapati Atharvashirsha. The puja concludes with aarti and prasad. Many devotees also fast, seeking truth, wisdom, and freedom from obstacles.
