Maa Durga is known as one of the powerful and widely worshiped goddess. She is considered the mother of the universe and is particularly revered in the form of Mahishasura Mardini, the slayer of the buffalo demon Mahishasura.
At first sankalp is taken in the name of the devotees. Than invoking of Maa Durga is done with help of mantras and prayers by the pujari ji. Than offering of things are done to the Goddess by following all the vedic rituals by the pujari. At last the aarti is done by the pujari ji and than the puja is completed by taking the blessings of the Goddess.
