Rudrabhishek puja is a significant and sacred Vedic ritual performed to get the blessings of Lord Rudra who is a form of Lord Shiva. Rudra form represents the Lord shiva's aggressive, furious and destructive nature. This puja includes the bathing of Lord Shiva along with chanting of mantras with items like Panchamrit, Milk and other sacred items. Ganga water, milk, curd, ghee, honey, sugar, flowers etc. are used in Panchamrit.
At first, Sankalp is taken in the name of the devotees. After that Lord Shiva is invoked with chanting mantras. After that, the milk, water, flowers, etc. are offered while reciting Vedic mantras. Abhishek is done on the Shivling by hands of the devotees and all the 7 concerned Pandit Ji while reciting Rudrabhishek mantras. At last, Aarti is done and lord shiva's blessings are taken by the devotees.
