The word Panchamrit is a combination of two words Panch which means five and Amrita which means nectar. The five main ingredients are used to make Panchamrit including milk, curd, honey, ghee and sugar. These all are mixed. Mantras are chanted throughout the process and once the puja is completed, the Panchamrut is distributed as prasad.
