The Pitru dosh word is a combination of two words "Pitru" which means forefather and "Dosh" means imbalance in person's Kundali. Pitru dosh occurs when Rahu and Ketu are both misplaced in a person's birth chart and sometimes this dosh occurs when the soul of the ancestors is not satisfied. Pitru shanti havan and puja are rituals that are performed to appease ancestors and to resolve ancestral imbalances or karmic issues.
First of all, the devotees take a bath in the holy river. For this, it is necessary to wear white clothes. Then Sankalp is taken in the name of the devotees. Then mantras are chanted by the pandit ji and under the guidance of the priest, Pitru Dosh Nivaran Vidhi is done and Havan is also done. Finally the puja is completed and the devotees take blessings of the ancestors.
