At first sankalp is taken in the name of the devotees. Than invoking of Lord Shiva, Lord Ganesh etc. for protection and removal of obstcales from the puja. Than Jaap of Rahu is done 18000 times by the pujari along with 1808 Bel Patra. Than Ketu Jaap is done 17000 times by the pujari along with 1708 Bel Patra. At last hawan and aarti is done by the pujari and the puja is completed.
