Udaipur - Rudrabhishek Puja

The term Navgrah means nine celestial bodies in Sanskrit, where nav means nine and grah means planet or celestial body. Navgrah puja and havan means worshipping all the 9 planets which include Sun, Moon, Mars, Mercury, Jupiter, Venus, Saturn, Rahu and Ketu. The Navgrahas affect a person's life positively or negatively. The havan is performed according to the person's birth horoscope and involves nine steps, each with separate aahuti and mantra for a planet. The havan also involves arranging the nine planets in the form of grains, and the pandit chants mantras.

The Durga  Navchandi path is a powerful and  Spiritually significant ritual. Devi is a sanskrit word that means "Goddess" it's refers to a mother Goddess. Nav means "Nine" and chandi refers to "Fire" another form of Goddess Durga. Goddess Durga represents Shakti. Navchandi path involves powerful saptashati mantras. Navchandi path includes 700 mantras divided into 13 chapters. This path expresses the victory of Goddess Durga over demon Mahishasur. Performing this path is considered highly auspicious. 

Sahasravartan Puja and Mantras are performed to seek the blessings of Lord Ganesha and to receive his guidance before any new beginning, Sahasravartan Puja is one of the worships of Ganesha. The name Sahasravartan means "thousand". This puja includes 1000 names of Lord Ganesha. An image of Lord Ganesha is worshipped in this puja. The pujariji performs the puja by chanting 1000 names of Lord Ganesha.

Hanuman was born to mother Anjana and father Kesari. Hanuman is also called the son of Vayu Devta because of the legends associated with Vayu's role in Hanuman's birth and he is said to be an incarnation of Shiva . Hanuman ji is a strong and calm devotee of Lord Shri Ramchandra. Hanuman ji's guru was surya dev. Hanuman ji had received the knowledge of all the Vedas from the surya dev.

The term "Rudrabhishek" is a combination of the words "Rudra" and "Abhishek". and  rudra means "who eradicates problems from their roots "The word "Abhishek" literally means "worship of God by various worship materials". Rudra Abhishek is a significant and sacred Vedic ritual performed to get the blessings of Lord Shiva. This puja includes the bathing of Lord Shiva along with chanting of mantras with items like Panchamrit, Milk and other sacred items. It is believed that doing this puja helps in making Lord Shiva happy.
