The name Sahasravartan means "thousand". This puja includes 1000 names of Lord Ganesha. An image of Lord Ganesha is worshipped in this puja. The pujariji performs the puja by chanting 1000 names of Lord Ganesha.
First of all, Sankalp is taken in the name of the devotees. Then the main part of this puja is recitation of 1000 names of Lord Ganesha. Then Shodashopachar Puja of Lord Ganesha is done by our Pandit ji, after that Abhishek is done with milk, Gangajal and Panchamrit. Then flowers, modaks, fruits etc. are offered to Lord Ganesha. Then blessings are taken from Lord Ganesha. At last Aarti is done by our Pandit ji
