Grishneshwar Temple, located in Verul village of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar district, Maharashtra, is one of the twelve revered Jyotirlinga temples dedicated to Lord Shiva, situated 1 km from the Ellora Caves. Maloji Bhosale, Shivaji's grandfather, first restored it in the 16th century and reconstructed it to its current form in the 18th century with the support of Queen Ahilyabai Holkar. Grishneshwar is mentioned in ancient books such as the Shiva Purana, Skanda Purana, Ramayana and Mahabharata, highlighting its historical and religious importance. Mahashivratri is an important festival celebrated here. The best time to visit Grishneshwar Jyotirlinga Temple is from October to February.
