About Grishneshwar Jyotirlinga Temple
The Grishneshwar Jyotirlinga Temple is a Hindu temple in Maharashtra, India. It is the 12th most Shiva temple in the country. The temple is situated in the village of Verul near the famous Ellora Caves Daulatabad in Maharashtra. The place of temple was destroyed by the Delhi Sultana in the 13th-14th century AD. But the temple was reconstructed by Maratha ruler Shivaji’s grandfather, Maloju Bhisale of Verul, in the 16th century AD. As, After the fall of the Mughal Empire the structure was rebuilt by Queen Ahilyabai Holkar of Indore in the 18th century AD.
