Chokkanathaswamy Temple, located in Domlur, Bangalore, Karnataka, is dedicated to Chokkanathaswamy or Chokka Perumal. It is one of the oldest temples in the city. Sri Banashankari Devi Temple (or Banashankari Temple) is located in Cholachagudda, near Badami, in Bagalkot, Karnataka. Because of its location in the Tilakaaranya forest, the temple is also known by its common name, Vanashankari. The original architecture of the temple was Dravidian. The reconstructed structure has a Vijayanagara architectural style. Banashankari Jatre and Rath Yatra are important festivals for Banashankari Temple. Sri Shanmukha Swami Gudi is situated on a hillside off Mysore Road in Rajarajeswari Nagar, Bangalore. This temple is dedicated to Lord Murugan. The temple is situated above a rock that is 90 feet in diameter and 270 feet in circumference, approximately 130 feet below the summit of the hill. This temple has also been constructed in a unique style, with the six faces of Lord Murugan constituting a temple tower supported by six pillars and having cross ventilation in the shape of a star. Skanda Sashti Vratam is an important festival of this temple. For visiting this temple, January is the ideal month.
