About
Ganesh Puja is a sacred Hindu ritual performed to seek the blessings of Lord Ganesha, the remover of obstacles and the deity of wisdom, prosperity and auspicious beginnings. It is traditionally performed before starting important work, business, religious ceremonies or new ventures. The puja is performed with devotion to Lord Ganesha, seeking peace, success and the removal of difficulties in life.
The Ganesh Puja begins with Sankalp, where the devotee takes a sacred vow and states their name, gotra and the purpose of performing the puja. Then Navagraha Puja is done to worship the nine planetary deities and seek their blessings for peace, harmony and balance in life. The main Ganesh Pujan is then performed with traditional Vedic mantras and sacred offerings to Lord Ganesha. Devotees pray for the removal of obstacles, wisdom, prosperity and success in their endeavours. The puja ends with Aarti and prayers seeking Lord Ganesha’s divine blessings.
