Kolhapur - Panchamrit Kumkumarchan abhishek

The term kumkumarchana is combination of two words "Kumkum" is a red powder and "Archana" means offering. In this ritual devotees worship Goddess by applying kumkum to their idols or images. Worshipping Goddess with kumkum is very beneficial to devotees and it's an easy way to connect with the Goddess. This ritual gets more powerful when devotees performs while chanting mantra.   

Naivedhyam refers to the food that is offered to Goddess during this worship. In this ritual abhishek is done on Goddess with helps of panchamrit. Offering kumkum to Goddess is very sacred but offering kumkum with Naivedhyam is very beneficial to devotees. After the offering of bhog to Goddess is done it is distributed as prasad. It is believed that performing this ritual is the best way of expressing devotation to the Goddess. 

Goddess Lakshmi is Goddess of wealth worshipping her is very beneficial to the devotees. Offering Food, Kumkum and Saree to the Goddess Lakshmi is a very sacred ritual. In this ritual abhishek is done on Goddess Lakshmi with the helps of panchamrit. While performing this puja devotees offers Food as form of Naivedhyam and saree to the Goddess Lakshmi.
