The term kumkumarchana is combination of two words "Kumkum" is a red powder and "Archana" means offering. In this ritual devotees worship Goddess by applying kumkum to their idols or images. Worshipping Goddess with kumkum is very beneficial to devotees and it's an easy way to connect with the Goddess. This ritual gets more powerful when devotees performs while chanting mantra.
At first sanklp is taken in the name of the devotees. Then invoking of Goddess Lakhshmi is done with mantras and prayers by the pujari. Then devotees offers Kumkum and panchamrit to Goddess. At last, arti is done by the pujari and blessings are taken by the devotees.
