Laghu Rudrabhishek is a sacred puja performed at Somnath City to Puja Lord Shiva through Abhishek and Rudra mantras. It is a shorter and simpler form of Rudrabhishek but very powerful. This puja is done to seek Lord Shiva’s blessings for peace, good health, removal of problems, and spiritual growth. Performing it at the holy Somnath Temple increases its spiritual importance and positive results.
Laghu Rudrabhishek begins with sankalp by the devotee. The Shivling is bathed with water, milk, curd, honey, ghee, and sugar while chanting Rudra mantras. Bel leaves, flowers, and sacred items are offered to Lord Shiva. The puja ends with aarti, prasad, and prayers for blessings, peace, and protection.
