Mahurgad temple is dedicated to Goddess Renukadevi.It is beleived that the renukadevi temple is one of the three and half Shakti peeth. Navchandi path is a powerfull ritual dedicated to Goddess Chanadi. In this puja all the nine forms of Goddess Durga is worshipped. During this puja various mantras are chanted by the pujari. Durga saptashati is also known as Devi Mahatmaya or chandi path.
At first sankalp is taken in the name of the devotees. Than kalash is established than Lord Ganesh is worshiped. Than pujariji do Durga Saptashtipath and offers flowers and incense to Goddess Renuka. At last arti is done of the Goddess and blessings are taken by the devotees.
