Also, the leaves of the tree are trifolic which represents the trinetra of the three eyes of Lord Shiva. In Hindu mythology, the leaf also represents the trinity Brahma, Vishnu and Mahesh. Belpatra has great importance in Vedic Puran. The Devi Parvati named it Bilva. Belpatra Tree is the favourite tree of Lord Shiva.
