Rishikesh - Ganga Yagya

Ganga Puja is a religious ritual that involves the worship of the sacred river Ganga. The Ganga River is considered a holy river and it is believed that taking a dip in the Ganga will purify your soul. This puja is performed on the ghat of Ganga. The worship of Maa Ganga is one of the most important rituals in Hinduism. It is believed that Maa Ganga has the power to wash away any sin of any person. The word 'Rudrashtadhyayi' is a combination of two words: 'Rudra,' a fierce and powerful form of Lord Shiva, and 'Ashtadhyayi,' which refers to eight chapters dedicated to Lord Shiva. It is believed that the Rudrashtadhyayi is part of the Yajurveda. The mantras of the Rudrashtadhyayi are divided into eight chapters, with each chapter containing several mantras to please Lord Shiva and seek his blessings. This puja involves offering sacred liquids and chanting mantras. Performing Rudrabhishek with the Rudrashtadhyayi puja helps to please Lord Shiva.

Lord Shiva has many names like Shambhu, Mahadev, Shankar, and Neelkanth. 'Rudra' is one of the famous names of Lord Shiva. Rudrabhishek puja is a ritual dedicated to Lord Shiva. In this ritual, God Mahadev is worshipped in his Rudra form. The Rudra form of Lord Shiva represents his fierce and powerful aspect. The term 'Rudra' symbolizes Lord Shiva in his fierce form, and 'Abhishek' refers to offering. Rudrabhishek puja involves offering sacred liquids and chanting mantras. Performing Rudrabhishek puja helps make Lord Shiva happy and grants blessings from the divine.

Pind Daan is a  ritual which is performed after the death of a person. Pind daan is ritual us performed to honor ancestors. Performing this vidhi provide peace and Moksh to the departed soul they get freedom from the cycle of birth and death. In this ritual  pind to the ancestor this pind are made from cooked rice, sesame and other sacred materials. These offerings are belied to satisfy the ancestors in afterlife. 

The word "Tarpan" is a sanskrit word Tarpan means satisfaction. This is the root word from where the name Tarpan evolved. Tarpan vidhi is dedicated to ancestors. The Tarpan vidhi is performed to honor the ancestors. In this ritual water is offered to the departed souls. Performing Tarpan vidhi helps to satisfy the ancestors.

In Hindu religion, there are sixteen sanskars in total, Mundan is the eighth sanskar among them. Mundan is considered an important among all the sixteen sanskar. The mundan sanskar us also known as chudakaran. In this ritual  shaving a baby's head for the first time. It is believed that the mental development of the person's depends on the Mundan Sanskar ceremony. The sooner it is performed the better it is for the person. It is believed that it's necessary to do this vidhi because doing this vidhi protect the person from negative energies and brings good luck.

Saty Narayan katha is dedicated Lord Vishnu. Lord Saty Narayan is a form of Lord Vishnu. The term "Saty" means "Truth" anf "Narayan" is a name of Lord Vishnu protector of the universe. The word "Sundarkand" is a combination two sanskrit word "Sundar" means beautiful and "Kanda" means  a section. The Sundarkand is a part of Ramayan. It's fifth chapter of Ramayan. Sundarkand dedicated to God Hanuman. Sundarkand path describes highlights Hanuman's strength, devotion, and intelligence. The "Sundarkand" explains the beauty of Hanuman's devotion, courage and wisdom. Sundarkand is considered a powerful text. Reciting Sundarkand help to seek blessings from God Hanuman.    

Goddess Lakshmi is wife of Lord Vishnu. She is known as the Goddess of wealth and prosperity. Lakshmi is the sanskrit word "Laksh" means goal, Shows her ability to bestow prosperity and fulfill desires. This Puja is being performed to honor Goddess Lakshmi to bring wealth and prosperity to the family in the future. Goddess Lakshmi is also known as a guardian of Dharm.

The name "Krishna" originates from the Sanskrit word Krishna which means "black". Lord Krishna was born in Dwaparyug to establish Dharm. Lord Shri Krishna is the eighth avatar of Lord Vishnu. Lord Krishna is a symbol of divine love and knowledge. Lord Krishna is also known as "Makhanchor". 

Navratri is made up of two words “Nav” meaning nine and “Ratri” meaning night. Navratri is nine day festival it is celebrated over nine nights and ten days. The Navratri  tells the story of the battle between Goddess Durga and Mahishasur. Each day of Navratri is dedicated to a different form of Durga. Goddess is known as shakti the ultimate source of energy and power. By worshiping the Goddess daily during Navratri, devotees gets the blessings of the Goddess.
