The Ganga River is the most sacred and important river in India. Ganga is also known as "Ganga Mata". It is believed that Maa Ganga has the power to wash away any sin of any person. At first, Sankalp is taken in the name of the devotees. Then invoking of Ma Ganga is done with the help of mantras and prayers by the pujari. Then offering of flowers, fruits, prasad etc by the pujari with the help of mantras and by following all the Vedic rituals. Then pujariji perforates Ganga Hawan. At last, aarti is done by the Pujari, and then blessings are taken by the devotees.
