Goddess Lakshmi is wife of Lord Vishnu. She is known as the Goddess of wealth and prosperity. Lakshmi is the sanskrit word "Laksh" means goal, Shows her ability to bestow prosperity and fulfill desires. This Puja is being performed to honor Goddess Lakshmi to bring wealth and prosperity to the family in the future. Goddess Lakshmi is also known as a guardian of Dharm.
At first kalash is establish with Mango leaves and coconut in a red cloth and tie it with a red thread, leaving the top of the coconut uncovered. Then first Lord Ganesh is worshipped. Then mantras are chanted by the pujari and Panchang pujan is done. Then Abhishek on Goddess Lakshmi is with the help of things like Panchamrit, Ganga jal and Milk. After that panditji offers new clothes to Goddess. At last arti is done and blessings of Goddess Lakshmi is taken by the devotees.
