The word "Sundarkand" is a combination two sanskrit word "Sundar" means beautiful and "Kanda" means a section. The Sundarkand is a part of Ramayan. It's fifth chapter of Ramayan. Sundarkand dedicated to God Hanuman. Sundarkand path describes highlights Hanuman's strength, devotion, and intelligence. The "Sundarkand" explains the beauty of Hanuman's devotion, courage and wisdom. Sundarkand is considered a powerful text. Reciting Sundarkand help to seek blessings from God Hanuman.
At first sankalp is taken in the name of the devotees. Than invoking of the presence of Lord Rama, Sita, and Hanuman through prayers and mantras are done by the pujari. Than the chapters of Sundarkand are explained by the pujari. At last aarti is done and the blessings are taken by the devotees.
