About

Triveni Puja in Prayagraj is a sacred ritual performed at Triveni Ghat, where the Ganges, Yamuna and Saraswati rivers meet. Devotees perform this puja to honor the rivers and seek their blessings, first offering prayers and then offering flowers, fruits and holy water. This puja is believed to cleanse sins, remove obstacles and bring peace, prosperity and spiritual growth. Many people perform it before starting important work or religious rituals. The spiritual energy of Triveni Sangam makes this puja very auspicious and powerful for the devotees.

In the Triveni Puja in Prayagraj, devotees first purify themselves by bathing in the Sangam. A clean place is prepared, and a vessel filled with the water of the Sangam is placed. Initially, salnalpa is taken with the names of the devotees. Then, the Panditji invokes Goddess Ganga with chanting and prayers. While chanting the mantras, offerings like flowers, fruits, rice and milk are offered. The three rivers are worshipped with lamps, incense and camphor. Some people also perform a small havan. Finally, prayers are offered for peace, prosperity and blessings, and the offerings are released into the holy water.
