Agnoukarana Hasta Shraddha - Gokarna

Agnoukarana Hasta Shraddha is a special ancestral ritual performed in Gokarna for those whose final rites were not done properly or were missed. This Shraddha helps remove ancestral dosha (Pitru dosha) and brings peace to departed souls. The ritual is done with sacred mantras, water, sesame seeds, and offerings to Agni (fire). Performing it in Gokarna, a holy place, is believed to give strong spiritual benefits and blessings to the family.

The ritual starts with sankalp taken by the devotee with the priest. The person sits facing south near the sacred place. Offerings like water, black sesame seeds, rice, and darbha grass are given while chanting mantras. Fire (Agni) is invoked, and oblations are offered for ancestors. Pind daan is performed, followed by prayers for peace of departed souls and family well-being.
