Kaal Sarp Dosh occurs when all seven planets come between Ketu and Rahu in a horoscope. Therefore, the person with such a horoscope is affected by Ketu and Rahu. This is known as Sarp Dosh and is believed to have very adverse effects. To be free of these adverse effects the person must do the Kaal Sarp Dosh Puja. Performing this puja in Ayodhya is beneficial.
At first, Sankalp is taken in the name of the devotees. Total of 2 pujariji will do the puja. Then invoking Lord Shiva and Lord Ganesh is done by the pujari to remove hurdles from the puja. Then items like milk, flowers, etc. are offered by the pujari along with chanting of mantras. At last, arti is done of the God and the blessings are taken.
