That may affect Pitru dosh for which this puja is done. It is performed to fix any problem In the puja special prayers are done and asking for the blessing from the ancestors. The term Pitru means Forefathers it is believed that pitru dosh is present in a person's horoscope.

At first, Sankalp is taken in the name of the devotees. Then invoking mantras, jaap and prayers. Then the puja of pitru is done by offering pinds, water etc. Which is done by following all the Vedic rituals properly by the pujari. At last, the puja is completed by talking the blessings and offering prayers by the pujari ji.
