About

"Nav" means nine, and "grah" means planets. Thus, Navgrah refers to the nine planate , which are the Sun, Moon, Mars, Mercury, Jupiter, Venus, Saturn, Rahu, and Ketu. Navgrah Shanti Puja is a Hindu religious ritual performed to appease and seek the blessings of the nine planate that are believed to influence various aspects of human life according to Vedic astrology.

At first, Sankalp is taken in the name of the devotees. Then mantras are chanted to invoke all the Navgrah. It is followed by the puja of  Lord Ganesh is done with the help of mantras and prayers by the pujari to remove the obstacles caused in the puja and all the Navgrah. Than establishment of Kalash is done with water, flowers and coconut. Than puja is done following all the Vedic rituals by the pujari ji. At last, the devotees get the blessings and the puja is completed.
