About
Mankokamna means "desire" or "wish" Prapti means "fulfilment". Manokamna Khullas in Baba Basukinath is a special puja performed for the fulfilment of the wishes and desires of the devotees. Lord Shiva is worshipped in this puja. Lord Shiva is considered benevolent (कृपालु) and is worshipped for his kindness to the devotees and his power to eliminate the negative effects.
At first, Sankalp is taken in the name of the devotees and then invoking the lord Shiva is done by the pujari by Shlokes and mantras. Then Panditji performs puja on behalf of the devotee consecutively for 5 to 10 minutes everyday for the next 11 days.
(Note: Yajman is strictly prohibited to consume onion and garlic during these 11 days).
