The Angarak Dosh Puja is a ritual performed to mitigate the negative effect of Angarak dosh. The Angarak dosh forms in someone's kundli when the planet Mars is placed with Rahu in one of the houses of the Janma Kundali. This puja is performed to eliminate the impact of the Mangal-Rahu conjunction. In Baba Basukinath temple the Angarak Dosh Puja can also be performed when Mangal is placed with Ketu.
At first Sankalp is taken in the name of the devotees. Then invocation of Lord Ganesh is done with the help of mantras and jaap to reduce the problems or hurdles occurring in the puja. Then invoking Grah Mangal and Rahu is done with the help of mantras by the pujari ji and the puja of mangal and Rahu is done. At last, aarti is done and the puja is completed.
