Performing an Abhishek Puja for Lord Ganesha, also known as Ganpati Puja, is a ritual in Hinduism where sacred offerings are made to the deity while chanting mantras and prayers. It involves the pouring of various liquids on the idol or image of Lord Ganesha as a symbol of purification, devotion, and seeking blessings.

At first sankalp is taken in the name of the devotees. Than invoking of Lord Ganesh is done with the help of mantras and prayers by the pujari. Than abhishek of Lord Ganesh is done with water, milk and other sacred items by the pujari. At aarti is done by the pujari and the puja is compeleted by him by taking the blessings of Lord Ganesh.
