Sundarkand Path Puja is a practice that involves reciting and meditating on the "Sundarkand," a chapter from the ancient Indian epic, the Ramayana. The Sundarkand narrates the journey of Lord Hanuman and of Lord Rama, to Lanka in search of Sita, Lord Rama's wife who had been abducted by the demon king Ravana. This chapter is filled with devotion, valor, and devotion to Lord Rama and is considered highly auspicious.

At first sankalp is taken in the name of the devotees. Than invoking of the presence of Lord Rama, Sita, and Hanuman through prayers and mantras are done by the pujari. Than the chapters of Sundarkand are narrated and explained by the pujari. At last aarti is done and the blessings are taken.
