About
“Gandmool Nakshatra” denotes a group of six nakshatras (lunar constellations) that are regarded as unfavorable for some activities in Vedic astrology. These nakshatras are Ashwini, Ashlesha, Magha, Jyeshtha, Moola, and Revati. When a person is born with the Moon in any of these nakshatras, it is said to have some astrological consequences. Gandmool Nakshatra puja is conducted to reduce potential negative effects associated with being born under these nakshatras. The puja involves worship and rituals to seek the blessings of the ruling deities of these nakshatras.
At fist sankalp is taken in the name of the devotees. Than invoking of Lord Ganesh is done for blessings and removal of obstacles. Than according to the nakshatra the ruling deity is invoked. Than the offerings is made with flowers, sweets etc along with that the mantras are chanted by the pujari. At last aarti is done of the God and than blessings is taken by the devotee and their family members.
