About
Mangal Dosh Kumbh Vivah Puja is a traditional Vedic puja performed for the individual who have Mangal Dosh (Manglik Dosh) in their birth chart and are believed to be facing delays, obstacles or concerns related to marriage. In this puja, the person undergoes a symbolic marriage with a sacred earthen pot (Kumbh), a sacred tree or a representation of Lord Vishnu before their actual marriage. According to traditional beliefs, this ceremony is performed to pacify the adverse effects associated with Mangal Dosh and seek blessings for a peaceful and harmonious married life.
The puja begins with the worship of Lord Ganesha and a Sankalp is taken by the preist. The sacred Kumbh (earthen pot) is then purified and consecrated with Vedic mantras. A symbolic marriage ceremony with the Kumbh is performed under the guidance of a priest to reduce the effects of Mangal Dosh. The puja ends with prayers for a happy married life, blessings from the deities.
