About
Ark Vivah is a sacred Vedic ritual primarily performed for men who have strong Mangal Dosh (Manglik Dosh) or certain marriage-related planetary doshas in their birth chart. In this ritual, the person symbolically marries the Ark (Aak/Madar/Calotropis) plant, which is traditionally associated with divine energy. This symbolic marriage is believed to reduce the negative effects of the dosha before the individual's actual marriage, helping remove obstacles and promoting a peaceful and successful married life. The ritual is usually performed only after a qualified astrologer recommends it based on the horoscope.
first Sankalp is taken in the name of devotee by priest, then lord ganesh to remove obstacles. priest then performs Navagraha and Mangal Puja to reduce the negative effects of planetary doshas. Then sacred Ark (Aak) plant is worshipped with sacred items and traditionally offerings are made. The devotee then symbolically marries the Ark plant while Vedic mantras are chanted. The ritual ends with Aarti, final prayers, and blessings.
