Navagraha mantra jaap is a highly revered Vedic ritual dedicated to the nine celestial planets- Surya (sun), Chandra (moon), mangal (mars), budh (mercury), Brihaspati (jupitar), shukra (venus), shani (Saturn), rahu and ketu. according to Vedic astrology, these nine planets influence various aspects of life, including health, career, marriage, finance, education, relationship and spiritual growth. when one or more planets are adversely placed in a horoscope, they may create obstacles, delays, financial instability, health concerns or emotional challenges. this sacred puja combines traditional Vedic worship with chanting of mool (beej) mantra of each planet to invoke their divine blessings and reduce the negative effects of planetary doshas.
puja starts with gauri ganesh pujan to seek the blessings of lord ganesh and goddess gauri for the successful completion of the puja. then shodashopachar pujan is performed where the deities are worshipped with traditional offerings and kalash pujan is performed to invoke divine energies into the sacred kalash. then Navagraha pujan is performed to honor all nine planetary deities. after the worship the special mool mantra jaap of Surya, Chandra, mangal, budh, Brihaspati, shukra, shani, rahu and ketu is chanted with devotion according to Vedic traditions. the puja ends with a sacred Navagraha homam, where offerings are offered into the holy fire while reciting the planetary mantras to strengthen positive planetary influences and reduce the adverse effects of planetary.
