first Sankalp is taken in the name of devotee. then water mixed with black sesame seeds and other sacred items are offered to ancestors with chanting mantras. then shraddha ritual is performed with prayers and offerings are made to honor the ancestors. then pind daan is performed along with prayers for peace, liberation and satisfaction for the ancestors. The puja ends with blessings from the 2 Pandit Ji for the well-being, prosperity, and harmony of the family.
