Maha Mrityunjaya Havan is a Hindu ritual dedicated to Lord Shiva, focused on the Maha Mrityunjaya mantra, believed to conquer death and promote healing and well-being. This powerful mantra, also known as the Mrityunjaya mantra, is chanted during the havan (fire ceremony) to invoke Shiva's blessings for long life, good health, and protection from untimely death. The ritual is often performed to alleviate suffering, remove negative energies, and enhance spiritual growth. Participants believe the havan creates a positive energy field, fostering peace and warding off negativity.
The Maha Mrityunjaya Havan starts with Ganpati Pujan to remove obstacles and seek divine blessings. then the Maha Mrityunjaya Bhagwan Pujan is performed, where Lord Shiva is worshipped with devotion. A sacred Abhishek is performed on the Shivling while chanting the Mantra. After the abhishek, the Maha Mrityunjaya Havan is performed by offering sacred samagri into the holy fire along with continuous chanting of the Mantra, invoking health, protection, and spiritual well-being. The puja ends with Aarti and the blessings are taken by the devotee.
