Panch Grah Jaap in Ujjain is a sacred ritual performed to appease five important planets from the Navagrahas. The jaap (chanting) is done with proper mantras to reduce the malefic effects and bring peace, prosperity, and balance in life. It is mainly done for those facing planetary doshas in their kundli. Pandit chants the prescribed number of mantras for each of the five grahas with devotion to bring positive energy and blessings.
In Panchagraha Jaap , the Pandit begins with the Sankalp (intention) in the name of the devotee. Then the Navagraha Mantras are Chanted. After that, the five selected planets are chanted (Jaap) with appropriate mantras and mala. There is a fixed number of mantra repetitions for each planet is done by 10 pandit.
