Navagraha Shanti Pujan is a traditional Vedic puja performed to seek the blessings of the nine planetary deities. It is performed for reducing the adverse effects associated with planetary positions in the birth chart and for promoting peace, stability, prosperity and overall well-being. The puja includes worship of Lord Ganesha, Gauri Mata, Kalash and the Navagrahas.
The puja begins with Maha Ganpati and Gauri Pujan, seeking divine blessings and removing obstacles before the main rituals. then Kalash Pujan is done for invoking auspicious divine energies into the kalash. The Navagraha Pujan is then performed with traditional offerings to the nine planetary deities. After this, the priests perform Navagraha Mool Mantra Jaap to invoke and seek the blessings of each graha. Navagraha prayan is performed as part of the prescribed ritual recitation. chanting of Maha Durga Ashtakam is done for divine protection and strength. The puja ends with a Vishesh Homam, in which sacred offerings are made into the fire along with Vedic mantras to complete the shanti and purification ritual.
