"Ganpati Athrvashirsh" is dedicated to Lord Ganesh. It is Beleived that Ganpati Athrvashirsh is a part of the Atharvaveda one of the four Vedas. Which is written by sage "Atharva". It is also known as the "Ganapati Upanishad." Worshipping Lord Ganesh with Ganapati Atharvashirsha is considered as very auspicious, powerful and beneficial for the devotees. Lord Ganesh is the God of wisdom and learning worshipping with him with this ritual is best way to please him.
At first Sankalp is taken in the name of the devotees. Then invoking of Lord Ganesh is done with mantras and prayers by the pujari. The central part of this puja is the recitation of Lord Ganesh Athrvashirsh pathan done by the pujariji. Than abhishek on Lord Ganesh is done with helps of things like Milk, Ganga Jal and Panchamrit. Then devotees seek blessings from Lord Ganesh.
