Kedarnath is one of the most revered shrines dedicated to Lord Shiva and is a part of the Chota Char Dham Yatra. It is known as one of the 12 Jyotirlingas and is a place of spiritual uplift for many people. It is famous for the Sadashiva form of Lord Shiva which represents the hump of Nandi Avatar. The Kedarnath temple is open to perform rituals from May to October or November but it is closed during monsoon month.
