Temples in Chamoli

Rudranath Temple is dedicated to Lord Shiv. It is one of the Panch Kedar temples. Located in the Garhwal Himalayan Mountains in Uttarakhand, this is a natural rock temple. It is the third temple of the Panch Kedar. It is believed that the face of Lord Shiva is worshipped here as " Neelakantha Mahadev." It is one of the hardest treks, approximately 24 km long. Maha Shivaratri is an important festival for this temple. May to October are the best times to visit this temple.

Kalpeshwar is located in the Urgam valley in the Garhwal region of Uttarakhand, dedicated to Lord Shiva. Kalpeshwar is the only temple among the holy Panch Kedars that is open throughout the year. It is the last and fifth temple on the Panch Kedar pilgrimage route. Inside this shrine, they worship Jata, Lord Shiva, or matted hair. Maha Shivaratri is an important festival celebrated at this temple. October to May are the best times to visit this temple.
