Sri Chandra Choodeswarar Temple
The Chandra Choodeswarar Temple is an ancient Shiva temple located on a rocky hill in Krishnagiri District, Tamil Nadu. The temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva also known as Shri Choodeswarar, Goddess Parvati and Maragadambal. It is located on the 250 Feet high hilltop and hence is visible from Hosur city. This temple was built in 1260 A.D. by Thirupuvanamalla Barvatharaja Anthiyazhvar and is more than 700 years old. Chandra Choodeswarar temple is very famous for car festivals in the city most of the people from Hosur, Bengaluru part of Karnataka take part in the festival every year in the month of March and April.
