Temples in Ozar
Vigneshwara Temple is dedicated to Lord Ganesh, is popular for its golden dome, or the Sonayacha Kalash, and is situated at Junnar Taluka in Pune district, Maharashtra. It is the most famous Vigneshwara Ashtavinayak temple. Along with his wives Siddhi and Riddhi, an east-facing idol of Ganesha is visible with holy Scripture and artwork at the entrance. The festival celebrations at this temple are Ganesh Chaturthi, Ganesh Jayanti, and Kartiki Poornima. The best time to visit this temple is from October to March.
Ozar is located about 85 Km from the Pune-Nashik highway road. The Vigneshwara Temple or Vighnahar Ganapati Temple of Ozar is the only Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Ganesha, the elephant-headed god of wisdom. This temple is one of the Ashtavinayaka, the eight revered temples of Ganesha in Maharashtra State. The Ganesha form worshipped here is called Vigneshwara.
