The Nagaprathiste Puja is a ritual dedicated to Lord Subramanya. Nagaprathiste puja also known as Sarpa Dosha Parihara, Sarpa Dosha can be caused by a curse from harming serpents in past life or the malefic planets Rahu and Ketu. This puja is performed to get rid of this dosha.
At first, Sankalp is taken in the name of devotees by Pujari ji. Then homam(fire ritual) is done while chanting mantras by pujari ji. Then offering sacred items to the snake idol and Abhishek is done by Pujari ji. After, the puja is completed the Prasad cover is distributed(Prasad's cover includes coconut and dhoop sticks).
