Kukke Shri Subramanya - Sarpa Samskara Puja
About
If your soul may have caused any harm to snakes either knowingly or unknowingly in a past life, then it creates problems for you in this life. So Sarpa Samskara or Sarpa dosha puja is performed to remove Sarpa dosha from the devotee's life and also to get rid of dosha involving delay in marriage.
At first, Sankalp is taken in the name of the devotees by the pujariji. Then the pandit ji decorates the kalash with mango leaves, coconut, rice, sesame seeds and fruits while chanting mantras. After this abhishekham is done by pouring milk, honey and other sacred items onto the idol. At last, the puja is completed by taking the aarti and the blessings by the devotees.
