About
Mahapuja is a special puja performed at the Tuljapur temple for the goddess Tuljabhavani, who is a form of goddess Parvati and the family deity of Chhatrapati Shivaji.
At first sankalp is taken in the name of the devotees. Then the Goddess is worshipped and bathed with things like banana, honey etc. and mantras are chanted along with it. Than things like coconut, banana etc. offered to the Goddess. At last aarti is done of the Goddess and her blessings are taken.
