Ashlesha Bali puja is a sacred ritual performed on the day of Ashlesha nakshatra to seek protection from doshas like Naga Dosha and Sarpa dosha. If someone caused any harm to snakes either knowingly or unknowingly in a past life, then it creates problems for you in this life. This puja is performed to get rid of this dosha.
At first, Sankalp is taken in the name of the devotees by the pujariji. Then invoking Sarpa Devtas(serpent God) by offering bali mixtures(black seeds and other ingredients) while chanting Sarpa sookta japam by pujari ji. At last, the final arti is done and Prasad is offered to the devotees.
