This ritual involves offering water mixed with black sesame seeds and rice. "Thila Homa" is a combination of two words "Thila" means Black sesame seeds and Homa means "Hawan". This puja is performed to bring peace to the souls of ancestors and others who may have suffered an unnatural death.
At first, Sankalp is taken in the name of the devotee, then water with mixed black sesame seeds is offered by the devotee. Then offering ghee and other sacred items into the holy fire, a fire ritual is done by chanting the mantras by pujari ji. At last, Homa is done and Prasad is offered to the devotees.
