Tripindi Shradha Puja is a ritual performed to bring peace to the souls of ancestors who have died with unfulfilled desires or without proper rites. It is believed that this puja in Nashik can remove the Pitru Dosh. Tripindi Shradha Puja can be performed at any holy place. This puja includes offering 3 Pinds to three generations of ancestors.
At first, Sankalp is taken in the name of the devotees. Then three Pindas are offered to the three generations of ancestors along with other things such as jaggery, ghee etc. The Pindas are placed on a Vishnu Pad or a Kusha grass mat. Then mantras are chanted and water offering is done to the ancestors.
