Ramnath Devsthan - Kumkumarchana Puja
About
Kumkumarchana puja is a sacred ritual where the Goddess is worshipped using Kumkum. The word 'Kumkumarchana' is a combination of two words: 'Kumkum', which means the red powder made from turmeric and other ingredients, and 'Archana', which means offering. Kumkum attracts the force of the universe, Shakti, and is used to worship Goddess Parvati. The Goddess Tulja Bhawani is worshipped with Kumkum as a manifestation of Shakti Tattva.
First, Sankalp is taken in the name of the devotees. Then, invoking of Goddess Tulja Bhawani is done with mantras and prayers by the pujari. Afterward, devotees offer Kumkum, Akshat, turmeric, and flowers to the Goddess. Finally, an arti is performed by the pujari and blessings are received by the devotees.
