Saraswati Pushkaralu Kaleshwaram - Manyusukta Homam

About
Manusukta Homam, a very sacred Vedic ritual, invokes the wrath of God Lord Narasimha to destroy all enemies, evil spirits, and obstacles, both within and outside. Cleaning the altar with holy water and incense is the first step in performing this powerful homam. Ganapati stotras are chanted to eliminate obstruction and vow support for homam success after setting up the homa kundam (fire altar).
As a symbol of the divine, a kalasha, or holy vessel of sacred water, is put on the altar prior to reciting the Manusukta of the Rig Veda. As a protection from negative forces, this set of mantras invokes the anger of Lord Narasimha. Apart from oblations of ghee, herbs, and grains into the fire, there are some mantras that are recited for protection and purification. The homam ends with the offering of prasad, or sanctified offerings, to the visitors and the purnahuti, or last oblation.
