In Mangal Arti, devotional songs are sung to awaken the Goddess.
Mangal Arti begins sometime between 4:00 and 4:30 a.m. When the Deity's curtains are opened and the Pujari blows the Shankh. Sankalp is taken in the name of devotees. Then invoking Karni Mata is done with mantras and prayers by the Pujari. Before opening the curtain, the Pujari has awakened the Deities, While the Pujari is performing Mangal Arti, the devotees offer their worship and sing kirtan, Kirtan continues while the Pujari is offering Mangal Arti. The Pujari will then distribute the prasad in the way of ghee lamp and flowers, sprinkling water, and offering incense sticks to take blessings.
